Position type : Full-time Contract, potential contract to hire
Duration : 3+ months
Location : New Haven Connecticut 06511 United States
Note : will be floating throughout the Greenfield area, Northampton area, Westfield areas
Shift / Schedule : 6am-6pm Monday-Friday, rotating weekends as well
As a Phlebotomist, your responsibilities :
- Experience doing blood draws, labelling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
- Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
- Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex.
urine or faecal) as required.
- Demonstrate technique / s using straight needles and / or butterfly needles.
- Experience doing blood draws
- Processing Urine
- Recording maintenance data and decontamination
- Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures
- Must be reliable and good at communication
- Must be patient focused
- Answer telephone calls, read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
- Attend annual department trainings Answer telephone calls, read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Phlebotomy - paediatrics & geriatrics
- High School Diploma or GED 1-4 years of experience.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS :
Pay Range* : $17 / hr to $18.90 / hr.
