Great opportunity to grow into a new role!. This dynamic position supports the utilization review branch of the Salem Case management department.
Functions include communication with payors; set up of appeals with in- house staff and detailed record documentation focused on appeals.
Ideal candidate is able to function independently; has excellent computer and communication skills and is looking to improve current practice.
Reports to the manager of Utilization Review. This is a new role for this team and we are looking for a self starter to enhance the workflow.

In an administrative setting, performs a variety of administrative duties and general office work. Responsible for the efficient flow of correspondence and other materials relative to department and hospital business.

Qualifications
Moderate typing skills, Keyboarding, and Computer skills. Requires basic knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of office machinery (fax, computer, scheduling programs, multi-line phone system).
Organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
1 year of office experience required High School Diploma or Equivalent required Healthcare environment experience preferred Formal office training program preferred
