Position : Regional Sales Manager Agriculture / Irrigation
Location : Northwest (Pendleton, OR)
We are a well-established irrigation company with a strong presence in the agriculture market. We are expanding our operations in the Northwest region and require a skilled sales professional to directly engage with our Dealers and Distributors.
The ideal candidate must possess sales experience in irrigation or a related field within the agriculture industry. Additionally, they should have a background in engineering or a technical discipline and be comfortable with hands-on work.
This position requires a delicate balance of agricultural market knowledge, customer-facing expertise, technical proficiency, and strong sales orientation.
Responsibilities
Oversee all sales activities in the territory, including providing sales, marketing, and technical support to dealers, consulting engineers, end-users, and other sales representatives.
This includes sharing product / technical information, engineering specifications, technical submittals, and troubleshooting assistance.
- Offer pre- and post-sales support.
- Provide technical consultations on our products to prospective irrigation customers, designers, architects, and engineers.
- Manage and support our dealers and distributors.
- Engage in extensive travel within the territory.
Requirements
- Technical experience in the agriculture irrigation market.
- Knowledge and experience selling irrigation / pump products.
- Effective solution selling abilities.
- Experience in delivering product seminars to large professional groups.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with initiative, sound judgment, diplomacy, analytical skills, and a professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in financial calculations, forecasting, budget management, and related tasks.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role with a familiarity in irrigation systems.
