Regardless of role, we recognize that every member of our team is vital! The RN Infusion performs both independent nursing and delegated medical functions as member of the clinic care team.
The independent nursing includes assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for assigned patient population(s) in the ambulatory care setting.
The delegated medical functions include participation in and coordination of delegated patient care to other health care team members.
The RN Infusion is responsible for performing these functions and working in collaboration with providers and care team to perform these functions in accordance with all policy, procedure, and professional practice guidelines.
RN Infusion Overview
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes
- Implements nursing interventions based on plan of care
- Evaluates care and the patient’s response to interventions and expected outcomes
- Delivers care as delegated by physician / authorized practitioner to assigned patients
- Performs other duties as determined by manager and clinic needs
Minimum Qualifications :
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse license
- BLS Certification
- Current national certification depending on area of specialty or the ability to obtain one within 18 months of start date or prorated for FTE appointment (if applicable for role).
- Maintain Oncology Nursing Society’s ONS Provider Card or obtain within 30 days of start date (if applicable for role).
Preferred :
- 2+ years of acute care nursing and / or infusion or ambulatory care nursing experience
- 2+ years of experience in administrating antineoplastic agents
Due to differences in scope of care, practice, or service across settings, the specific experience required for this position may vary.
Location : 14500 99th Ave. N, Maple Grove MN
Hours : 0.8 FTE, 32 hours / week
