THE RUNDOWN

The Client Success Manager, Corporate Business Development will be a key part of Playfly Sports growth across professional sports & entertainment.

The successful candidate will apply proven project management, communication, marketing, and organizational skills to the Playfly Sports business development functions, including outbound communication and marketing, lead generation, database & pipeline management, business intelligence, proposal development processes, and financial modeling support.

This position will work directly with the Corporate Business Development team to facilitate any partnership opportunities along the sales funnel all the way through completion.

The ideal candidate is organized, outgoing, proactive, innovative, and passionate about what Playfly has to offer.

This self-starter will have the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks concurrently and to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills, be a self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This position could be based at any of Playfly’s corporate office locations including Philadelphia, NYC, Chicago, LA, Detroit, Dallas, or Atlanta.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

Manage and execute all collegiate sports & entertainment RFP Response & Proposal processes from start to finish. This process includes working with key Playfly stakeholders across Playfly Sports Properties, Playfly Global Partnerships, and Playfly Tech to write, research, edit, and produce customized, compelling, and technically compliant Response documents within set deadlines;

managing participation from Playfly’s Integrated Marketing Services group, on-site property staff, and any external consultants when appropriate.

Work with Corporate Business Development team to develop presentations and materials from start to finish, including close collaboration with Playfly’s Integrated Marketing Services group;

occasionally travel as part of the presentation team

Support the Sr. Financial Analyst and Deal Desk to provide modeling and forecasting support when evaluating potential new partnerships;

work with different teams of subject matter experts to prepare reports and projections based on this financial data.

Act as the Corporate Business Development lead for all project management, KORE / CRM data, integrations, development, and administration.

Be the point of contact with Playfly Operations team to :

  • Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and workflow.
  • Maintain the functional areas of data management, accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities, etc.
  • Oversee business intelligence and competitive research to maintain and update databases and files :
  • Collegiate Athletics executive contacts
  • Competitor organization news
  • Competitor contract expiration dates
  • Property by property business intelligence including competitor relationships and terms
  • Coordinate collaboration, communication, and cross-selling between business verticals.
  • Participate with the Integrated Marketing Services group and Playfly PR team to oversee various marketing projects including maintaining, updating, and managing sales materials including website, property case studies, company brochures, and similar items
  • Collaborate across all Playfly companies and business interests to steward business development opportunities.
  • Assist with identifying, preparing and managing any participation in events, conferences or gathering of collegiate executives on behalf of Playfly Sports

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, sports, sales, or related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the collegiate, professional sports & entertainment industry
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, as well as work well with a team utilizing a high level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Ability to present concepts in new ways and from new perspectives
  • Ability to promote change by communicating to and involving others
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to drive goals and results while maintaining quality and attention to critical details
  • A thorough understanding of the competitors in the market; ability to develop and implement effective strategies to win new business
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong phone, video, and email communication skills.
  • Computer Skills : Microsoft Office required. Advanced skills in Excel for high-level data analysis and data manipulation and PowerPoint for presentation development is preferred.

Adobe Creative Cloud suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.), and KORE experience a plus.

  • This is a sedentary role which takes place in an office environment
  • Some travel may be required

COMPENSATION

The pay range for this role is $80,000 to $85,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.

This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
