We are seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Buffalo, New York. This role is essential in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing outgoing bills and invoices, updating and maintaining accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions.

This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the processing of financial transactions, including accounts payable, account reconciliation, and invoice processing.
  • Manage the coding of invoices accurately to maintain detailed financial records.
  • Utilize various software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel for data entry tasks.
  • Conduct regular check runs to ensure timely payments.
  • Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and take necessary action to collect.
  • Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
  • Ensure all financial transactions adhere to internal financial policies and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve and streamline the accounts payable process.
  • Respond to external vendors and internal managers regarding all aspects of the accounts payable process, including processing invoices for payment, recording sales, and maintaining ledgers.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
  • Proficiency in account reconciliation
  • Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Ability to perform check runs efficiently
  • Proficiency in coding invoices
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Experience in invoice processing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Oracle
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks
  • Experience with SAP
