About being our Project & Accounting Specialist

As our Project & Accounting Specialist , you will play a key role in supporting our engineering, survey, and construction management teams by focusing heavily on processing a high volume of project billing.

You will collaborate closely with our project teams to ensure accurate and timely invoicing, monitoring project budgets and contracts, and providing contract and subcontract management support across departments.

This role is based in our Seattle office and offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Responsibility Highlights for our Project & Accounting Specialist

  • Complete monthly project billing in compliance with client and contract specifications, accurately and in a timely manner
  • Effectively communicate with Project Managers regarding billings, contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications, approvals, and any additional services
  • Set up new projects using accounting software according to contract, client, and project manager direction
  • Facilitate expense and credit card reporting, insuring timely and accurate coding and processing
  • Coordinate the processing and coding of accounts payable
  • Assist with administering contracts from execution to close out
  • Work with the cash receipts team member to reconcile variances that occur in the application of cash
  • Serve as a resource for staff with accounting-related issues or questions for the region

Minimum Qualifications to be our Project & Accounting Specialist

  • Minimum of 5 years project accounting experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and ability to follow through and complete assigned tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint) with intermediate proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide variety of internal and external clients and provide quality customer service

Preferred Qualifications for our Project & Accounting Specialist

  • Knowledge and experience with Deltek Vision accounting software
  • Prior experience within the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry

A competitive salary! The generally expected range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00 / hour depending on experience.

Compensation may be adjusted for well qualified candidates
