IT Systems and Network Engineer

This organization is seeking a seasoned IT Systems and Network Engineer. This candidate will play a crucial role in our technology infrastructure operations, leading a team to ensure the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of our network, servers, telecommunications services, and information.
This role involves maintaining a secure, compliant, and efficient infrastructure, ensuring optimal platform utilization, and aligning operational costs with business expectations.
The Systems and Network Engineer will also ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA, HITRUST, PCI-DSS, and other federal and state security standards.
This position reports directly to the CIO.

Focus :
Manage and administer the company’s multi-user computing systems. Collaborate with team members to develop, manage, and maintain IT infrastructure solutions for customer-facing applications.
Operate and maintain both native and cloud-based IT infrastructures. Assist in the planning and design of network solutions.
Evaluate new information technologies to enhance process efficiency, improve user satisfaction, increase security, or reduce costs.
Support various infrastructure elements including servers, storage management, database management, virtualization, recovery management, and threat management.
Provide technical leadership for desktop support and corporate IT helpdesk. Manage IT asset database and configuration management database.
Implement and follow security best practices to maintain the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of network information.
Skill Set :
BA / BS degree required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in :
Active Directory management. Network engineering and administration. Linux / Unix systems administration. Windows systems administration.
Application server installation and configuration. Virtualized computing, including VMWare. Working with Cisco, Juniper, Siklu, and F5 products.
Next-generation firewalls; Checkpoint experience is a plus. AWS deployment and management; Solution Architect experience is a plus.
Storage array management.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software used in networked and web-based environments. Experience in information technology design, setup, installation, and maintenance.
Understanding of security issues, crisis management, and business continuity. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Outstanding customer satisfaction and organizational skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with internal and external clients.
