Job Title : Director of Finance
Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly strategic, analytical, and business-savvy Director of Finance to join our dynamic team at a luxury island resort.
This role requires a leader with solid financial expertise, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to thrive in an island environment.
As Director of Finance, you will play a key role in shaping the financial health of the resort, partnering with the executive team to ensure the resort meets its financial and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the management team to drive the resort's financial performance.
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and corporate policies.
- Develop and monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and optimize financial health.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment of financial objectives with operational goals.
- Lead financial planning and analysis to support decision-making and long-term financial strategy.
- Manage external relationships with auditors, financial institutions, and vendors.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Minimum Qualifications :
- 3 to 5 years of senior-level finance management experience.
- Degree in Finance or Hospitality Management preferred (or equivalent relevant experience in luxury hospitality establishments).
- Strong business acumen and proven ability to develop and implement strategic financial plans.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data to make informed decisions.
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven leadership ability, with experience managing and mentoring finance teams.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in an island or remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Previous experience in luxury hospitality establishments.
- Experience working in an island resort or remote location is a plus.
