Position Overview :

GoLab is seeking an Operations Manager to join our growing leadership team. Our mobile labs provide on-site COVID-19 testing to corporate and private groups across western Washington, from essential workplaces and private events to professional sports teams.

We believe that same-day COVID-19 testing should be accessible to everyone, and that accurate mobile diagnostics will play a key role in our post-pandemic recovery and healthcare ecosystem for years to come.

You will be working closely with GoLab’s co-founders, medical staff, and patients. We maintain the highest safety standards, bring the best available testing technology to our clients, and deliver exceptional customer service.

In your role as Operations Manager you will be managing lab operations and sales, and providing direct customer service to clients.

This is a remote position based in Seattle, and much of your daily work can be completed online and over Zoom. This position requires you to drive GoLab vehicles to and from our West Seattle lab headquarters and client testing sites, as needed.

Hours are flexible and will include some weekend hours.

Must be highly efficient and effective with technology , including using Apple devices and web-based productivity tools like Google Suite, Excel, and Outlook.

SALES - You will manage inbound client booking requests for corporate and private COVID-19 testing, as well as expand GoLab's outbound sales program.

BUSINESS AND LAB OPERATIONS- You will take ownership for ensuring that every client testing job- however large or small- is executed with care and excellence.

This means taking the lead on shift scheduling and regular communication with our exceptional team of Registered Nurses and Lab Assistants.

You will support GoLab’s medical teams in-person by transporting lab equipment to / from GoLab's West Seattle lab HQ to client testing locations across Greater Seattle.

Every once in a while, you may even be putting on PPE and jumping in to help with checking-in patients or uploading test results into our patient portal.

GoLab will always provide you with reliably sourced, medical-grade PPE and sanitization supplies before any in-person work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Lead day-to-day mobile lab operations, customer service, and sales, primarily using web-based tools like Microsoft Outlook, Google Suite, and other lab applications
  • Manage client booking requests for mobile COVID-19 group testing, from generating initial proposals to invoicing after testing has been completed
  • Respond to inbound client booking inquiries during business hours
  • Track sales in GoLab CRM systems
  • Lead targeted outbound sales to new clients, working closely with GoLab Managing Director and Digital Marketing Manager
  • Manage lab supply inventory and ordering
  • Transport GoLab mobile lab equipment and supplies to / from GoLab’s Seattle office headquarters to GoLab nurses at client testing sites, as needed
  • Provide responsive customer service by phone / email and in-person for corporate and private testing groups
  • Upload lab-verified test results into GoLab patient portal and report results to local health jurisdictions
  • Proper Don and Doff of PPE as required at COVID-19 test sites (training will be provided)
  • Abide by CLIA, HIPAA, CDC and FDA-EUA compliance and safety guidelines at all times (training will be provided)

Required Computer Skills :

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Highly proficient with Google Sheets and Documents
  • Highly proficient with Apple devices for patient intake, check-in, and logging test results

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in Business or related field
  • Proven leadership experience in sales, lead generation, and customer service
  • Interest in public health and GoLab mission

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent computer technology skills and highly proficient with Apple devices and productivity tools like Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Google Suite
  • Self starter with a positive attitude and appreciation for fast-paced startup environment where you will be making direct impact;

ability to work under pressure

  • Strong time-management skills; ability to multi-task, and prioritize
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills- both oral and written, including the ability to quickly build rapport with clients and colleagues of all ages and abilities

  • Ability to lift and carry testing station equipment weighing up to 30 lbs for short distances at mobile testing sites

Required : Clean driving license in order to drive and operate GoLab company vehicles. Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated as per Washington State regulations for healthcare workers.

Salary : Base salary starting from $60,000 depending on experience + uncapped bonuses based on performance metrics
