Equity Research Associate

D.A. Davidson Companies provides straightforward, personalized advice, nationally recognized research, and capital market investment banking expertise to clients who need help achieving their strategic financial goals. D.A. Davidson is accepting applications for an Equity Research Associate position in its Portland, OR office. Research associates partner with analysts to provide differentiated analysis and value-added insight regarding publicly traded companies and industry trends for institutional clients. Associates are part of small teams with a high level of responsibility in contributing to published research. Associates become experts in financial modeling and proprietary research techniques.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree with a minimum 3.5 GPA
• Background in accounting and finance strongly preferred
• Bright, mature, and motivated with the desire to excel and ability to adapt in an intellectually challenging environment
• Passionate about capital markets and a desire to become highly skilled in equity research
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work well on a self-directed basis
• Working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Proficient communication and presentation skills
• Currently hold or be open to obtaining the following licenses : Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 63, Series 86 and Series 87.

Duties :

70,000 - $80,000 a year. The potential base pay for this role is $70,000 per year. This increases to $80,000 per year once the person hired becomes fully licensed with the licenses mentioned above. The compensation offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis considering a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the skills, relevant work experience, and geographic location of each specific candidate. This role is eligible to participate in applicable D.A. Davidson variable compensation programs.
