Job Title : SR Legal Assistant / Paralegal

Job Description : Responsible for preparing, reviewing and processing legal documents based on the specific area of practice referral using accurate information pulled from our internal case management system as well as client websites with a high level of attention to detail. Correctly and accurately enter response deadlines and milestone completion details to client sites and internal case management system. Manage and prioritize workflow in a timely manner to satisfy client SLA’s. Review Chapter 13 plans and provide objection recommendation. Your role will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities, including but not limited to :
Client Interactions (40%)
- Monitoring and Updating Client websites with milestone completion and document uploads
- Effectively and professionally communicates with clients via email, phone calls and client site intercoms
- Respond to client status reports and inquiries timely
- Request loan documents and follow up on required executables
- Escalate title, AOM and executable needs to meet FLAD deadlines
Compliance (40%)
Conduct SCRA and PACER searchesPrepares, reviews and processes legal documents (ex. Complaints, Judgments, Publications, Proof of Claim, Motion for Relief)Monitor work queues to complete and reproject work items within time requirementsUpdate internal case management system with legal deadlines and milestone completionAssures documents are compliant for filing and recording in multiple jurisdictionsMaintains all relevant documentation to our internal case management systemAssist with scorecard review and rebuttalsAdministrative (20%)
Pull and review workload and work queues reportsEffectively participates with team members to meet performance goalsTrain and mentor new hiresPrioritize workflow based on client deadlinesAccurately performs Data EntryExpected to learn and understand client websites, screen prints and loan documentsUnderstands client and jurisdictional specificsRegularly communicates with Orlans PC AttorneysPerforms other related duties as assignedFile as necessaryJob Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferredExperienced in mortgage default, helpfulHigh degree of customer serviceAdvanced computer skills and ability to quickly grasp new technologiesError-free data entry skills and detail orientedAbility to prioritize and multi-task frequently and / or shift focus quicklyAppropriate email and telephone etiquetteAbility to work efficiently as an individual in a team environment under the pressure of deadlinesQuick learner with ability to take direction and know when to ask questions for better understandingCritical thinking skills with ability to solve problemsAbility to read and understand PACERUnderstands client specifics and recognizes jurisdictional nuancesAbility to adapt easilyTechnology Required :
Position requires advanced knowledge of Windows and MS Windows and Office (including Word, Outlook, and Excel) experience required; knowledge of Adobe / Nuance Power PDF
