We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Downers Grove, Illinois. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to global financial operations, drive process improvements, and collaborate with key stakeholders in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards while supporting enterprise-wide initiatives.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and managing month-end and year-end close processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
• Ensure compliance with global accounting policies and support initiatives related to new accounting standards.
• Assist the Controller’s group in executing enterprise projects that impact the global accounting organization.
• Coordinate external audit activities, prepare financial disclosures, and maintain strong relationships with auditors.
• Utilize Workday financial consolidation systems to deliver enhanced reporting and operational capabilities.
• Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork within the accounting team.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting leaders to develop solutions for business challenges and drive operational improvements.
• Build strong partnerships with operating and finance leaders to support organizational goals effectively.

The salary range for this position is $40 / hr to $45 / hr. Benefits available to contract / temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
