Summary / Objective : Step into a role where you’ll shape the future of Phi Kappa Tau by building stronger alumni connections, empowering volunteers, and fueling the success of chapters nationwide. As the Director of Alumni Services, you won’t just manage programs—you’ll create new systems, identify and mentor volunteers, and launch initiatives that strengthen brotherhood across generations.
From developing Boards of Governors and Graduate Councils to driving alumni events, recognition programs, and networking opportunities, this role blends innovation, leadership, and service in a way few leadership positions can. You’ll travel, collaborate with alumni and staff leaders, design programs that leave a lasting impact, and ensure that Phi Tau alumni remain connected for life.

Position Responsibilities :
- Shape the future of alumni engagement by developing resources and strategies for Boards of Governors (voluntary advisory boards) and Graduate Councils (chapter-based alumni associations).
- Empower volunteers through training, support, and mentorship, ensuring strong volunteer boards for both active and expansion groups.
- Recruit and activate veteran volunteers to serve as project advisors, providing crucial support where it’s needed most.
- Strengthen chapter housing by creating systems that connect housing corporations with the Fraternity’s broader mission.
- Drive alumni connection through coordinated communication campaigns, Phi Tau Thursdays, and other networking initiatives.
- Innovate with new opportunities, developing revenue strategies that sustain our alumni programs.
- Celebrate and recognize volunteers, ensuring their contributions are honored and appreciated.
- Elevate alumni experiences at national conventions, regional events, and chapter milestone celebrations.
- Collaborate across teams, working closely with Foundation partners, staff leaders, and communications experts to align alumni engagement efforts.
- Reengage with alumni , increasing participation and deepening lifelong brotherhood.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.Minimum of three years relevant work experience.Experience working with, or in, a nonprofit, volunteer-driven, or membership-based organization a plus.Proven ability to recruit, train, and mentor volunteers, staff, or team members.Experience developing and facilitating small- and large-scale programming, conferences, and presentations.Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to implement professional work practices under pressure while meeting deadlines.Experience with strategic planning, program evaluation, and developing innovative solutions to organizational challenges.Strong written and oral communication skills, customer service skills, program management skills, and attention to detail.Proactive, self-directed, and able to effectively consult with others to solve problems.Proficiency with technology platforms for communication, data management, and event coordination (e.g., CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, or similar).Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of alumni, volunteers, and stakeholders, fostering inclusion and long-term relationships.Ability to work independently and remain motivated and deadline-oriented.Able to work a flexible schedule including travel, evenings, and weekends as needed.Experience identifying and developing new revenue streams or fundraising opportunities preferred.Fraternity or sorority experience is a plus.Membership in Phi Kappa Tau is beneficial, but not required.Benefits You’ll Gain :
