Project Manager
My client is a 3rd-generation, family-owned General Contractor with over 105 years of history in the Kansas City market. With a team of ~54 employees, they pride themselves on being values-driven, only working with clients who share their integrity-first philosophy. They are in a strong growth mode - projecting $80M+ revenue for 2024 and 2025, with a goal of 15% annual growth in both headcount and volume. Due to this growth, they are seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Manager to join their team and contribute to their long-term success.
Job Description
Oversee commercial and multifamily construction projects from start to finish. Manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client communication. Lead project teams and ensure successful project delivery. Work on a mix of public, K-12, healthcare, historic renovation, corporate, and multifamily projects. Maintain daily contact with clients, architects, and field teams. Prepare and manage project estimates, schedules, drawings, and specifications. Negotiate and issue subcontracts and purchase orders. Process submittals, RFIs, and change orders. Conduct site visits to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with design. Provide ongoing leadership and support to field staff.

The Successful Applicant
2-5+ years of proven Project Management experience as the lead on commercial or multifamily projects. Strong track record managing multiple projects simultaneously (not just one large $50M+ project). Ground-up construction experience is a plus. Calm under pressure, accountable, and passionate about construction. Team-first mindset - low ego, hardworking, emotionally steady, and values-driven. Proficiency in construction management software (Procore or similar). Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
