• And much more€¦\n\nPosition Summary : \n\nThis position provides off hour leadership and functions as resource person for staff members, assists in patient care and is responsible for overall quality of patient care in the facility.\n
• Supervises and mentors nursing and support staff during assigned shift.\n
• Determines staffing level and assignments based on staff availability, staff abilities, census, patient acuity and work / patient flow.\n
• Provides direct patient care as needed.\n
• Floats between staff to assist with problem-solving.\n
• May take patient assignments to meet staffing needs.\n
• Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.\n
• Responds to complaints about patient care and related services, and manages through established channels.\n
• Performs role-specific duties as assigned, including entering orders, performing admissions or discharges, and coordinating transfers.\n
• Ensures staff has necessary equipment and supplies to provide safe, quality patient care.\n
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.\n
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.\n\nMinimum Qualifications : \n
• RN license in state of KY or compact state\n
• Associate's Degree in Nursing Required\n
• Bachelor's degree in nursing Preferred\n
• BLS, Required\n
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
