About the renovation technician position :
We're looking for a talented renovation technician who will be responsible for developing and executing effective renovation schedules that turn units over to properties on time; ordering all necessary materials and keeping accurate records of all units and items utilized for each.
Responsible for renovating units which could include but is not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, repairs, cleaning, and paintingDevelop renovation schedules, monitor progress, and hold contractors accountable to strict production schedulesOrder project-related materials within budget guidelines; maintain accurate documentation of each ordered itemMaintain constant communication with property managers and others as requested, providing daily project updatesEnsure all contracted duties adhere to a detailed scope of workInspect vacant units and inventory work to be performed adhering to the renovation processNegotiate pricing for all contracted work, including change orders, to stay within or below budgetComply with all company policies and procedures, applicable health and safety rules and regulations, as well as applicable local, state, and federal lawsPerform other duties as assignedEducation and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent is required Minimum three years of experience with property management maintenance, building maintenance, renovations, or related trade is required
Skills and Requirements :
Ability to use personal computer and working knowledge of email, Microsoft Word, and Excel Ability to use standard maintenance tools and equipment Strong organizational and time-management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong project management skills Ability to multi-task Ability to make quick and effective decisions Ability to negotiate a contract Ability to set and meet goals Ability to consistently meet deadlines Required to complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within the first 30 days of employment
