Summary of Responsibilities
Responsible for the day-to-day business affairs of a Woolfson Eye Institute location to achieve corporate objectives by mobilizing and guiding their respective location towards extraordinary employee, patient, and financial outcomes.
List of Responsibilities / Duties
- Directs and manages the day-to-day aspects of the business side of the clinical practice, including patient scheduling, billing, collecting, insurance processing, purchasing, payroll, accounts payable, daily cash management, including inventory and other internal controls.
- Directs and manages the day-to-day aspects of the technician team providing support to different providers in the location.
- Collaborates with Human Resources on recruiting and orientation for location specific team members.
- Works closely with Human Resources in the hiring and, if necessary, termination of team members.
- Ensures team members’ understanding of Woolfson Eye Institute’s mission and objectives and the importance of attitude, attendance, accuracy, appearance, and aptitude in achieving our objectives.
- Seeks team members input regarding clinic operations, policies, and procedures.
- Empowers team members to achieve patient satisfaction within operating policies.
- Directs the conduct of oral and written performance evaluations.
- Implements Woolfson Eye Institute’s personnel policies.
- Monitors team members’ performances and takes appropriate action to assure quality performance and quality improvement.
- Manages the day-to-day utilization of clinic resources to achieve optimal efficiency and effectiveness in all areas, including patient care, personnel, facilities, equipment, records, supplies, and capital.
- Arranges for facilities and equipment maintenance and repair, as necessary.
- Implements and monitors full compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, as well as other federal, state ,and local regulations and laws
- Attends meetings as requested
- Other duties as assigned
Education
A graduate degree in business or a related area is desired; an undergraduate degree is preferred.Background Requirements
Management experience in medical group practice is required.Must have a working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and managed care.Must have basic financial skills and sufficient knowledge of accounting to direct the daily operations, review financial reports and determine corrective actions, as necessary.Minimum Demonstrated Skills
