job_description.job_card.job_descriptionMonitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors to help to deter unauthorized entry. Provide customer service by assisting individuals with questions and directing them appropriately within the facility. Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related operations. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating when necessary. Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and report any unusual conditions. Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control logs, visitor entries, and incident reports as required by the site. Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support security-related objectives and emergency response activities. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Job Description
As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food / Beverage, and more.
As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment at a leading food and beverage location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to all visitors and staff. What You'll Do :
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
