About the Role
Quality Engineer – Automotive Manufacturing (Portageville, MO)
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement quality control systems to ensure compliance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and IATF 16949 standards.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (RCA / CAPA).
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and design teams to embed quality standards into the process.
- Conduct audits and inspections to verify compliance with internal procedures and customer requirements.
- Analyze quality data (SPC, capability studies) to identify trends and drive improvements.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including control plans and inspection records.
- Train and mentor team members on quality procedures and best practices.
- Act as the primary customer liaison for quality issues, coordinating containment, RCA, and corrective actions (8D, OEM portals).
What We're Looking For (Basic Qualifications)
Experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.Strong problem-solving skills and experience using root cause analysis tools (5-Why, Fishbone / Ishikawa, 8D).What Will Set You Apart
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field.Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 9004, and customer-specific quality standards.Why Join Us
