Electrical Engineer I, II, or III (H / F) - SAFRAN TEST CELLS, INC.
Overview : Under the direction of the EE Manager, the Electrical Engineer is responsible for creating electrical designs and wiring diagrams for a variety of industrial data acquisition and control systems related to the testing of aircraft engines. They will manage their own work, assist with SMS efforts, on-site installations, customer support and troubleshooting instructions, and contribute to team efforts by supporting Electrical Engineer I and II, Drafters and Designers as needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage electrical design projects with minimal guidance and supervision of Sr. Electrical Engineers, overseeing schedule, budget, and task breakdowns.
- Design scope includes engine wiring harness and control systems, facility interconnecting wiring diagrams, facility control systems, and data acquisition systems.
- Create high-level and low-level detailed wiring diagrams for industrial data acquisition, control systems, and cable assemblies using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Facilitate design reviews internally and support project reviews externally with project management and customers.
- Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, and Software engineers in a cross-functional environment.
- Ensure designs and drawings comply with industry standards and Safran Test Cells' standards.
- Provide feedback to engineering management on work progress and status.
- Work with a team of electrical engineers, designers, drafters, and management to produce project deliverables.
- Gather and interpret information from diverse inputs (previous designs, customer specifications, sketches, OEM and customer-specific documentation).
- Adhere to Safran Test Cells' Engineering Design Process and Quality Maintenance System.
- Acquire ongoing knowledge through Safran company training opportunities to improve technology, products, and processes.
- Apply knowledge of electrical design concepts, standards, and practices to support existing customers, including troubleshooting instructions on familiar work packages.
- Participate in continuous improvement, making recommendations and implementing enhancements to current methods and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.Related industry experience required based on the Electrical Engineering level; CE and ATEX regulatory experience preferred.Experience designing electrical systems using AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent in one or more of the following areas : data acquisition and control systems, power distribution systems, wiring harnesses and junction boxes, building electrical ducting and services.Qualifications
