Job Title : Finance Clerk
Location : Georgetown, Delaware (In-Person)
Schedule : Full-Time, Monday through Friday | 8 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM

HomeWell Care Services Delaware is hiring a full-time Finance Clerk to assist with payroll, accounts payable / receivable, onboarding support, and more. This is not an entry-level role—ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in payroll, billing, or finance-related operations.

Your Role as a Finance Clerk
Payroll & Employee Support
Address caregiver payroll questions related to pay, deductions, and direct deposit.
Maintain payroll documentation and investigate discrepancies.
Ensure timely distribution of pay stubs and accuracy of timesheets.
New Hire Onboarding Support
Enter W-4 and direct deposit information into payroll systems.
Coordinate onboarding payroll steps with HR to ensure caregiver readiness.
Finance & Accounting Operations
Process accounts payable and receivable, including private pay billing via QuickBooks.
Track, verify, and reconcile invoices and payments.
Support month-end reporting, summaries, and audit packet prep.
Administrative Tasks
Maintain digital / paper filing systems for financial records.
Generate reports using Excel.
Assist with scheduling and daily clerical duties in the finance department.
What We’re Looking For
Required :
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in payroll, billing, or finance operations
Familiarity with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and document tracking
Preferred :
Associate degree in accounting, business, or finance
Experience in home care or healthcare finance a plus
Other Requirements :
Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
Completion of a TB test
Criminal background check and fingerprinting
