Shift / Hours : Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM
Job Summary
The Purchasing Coordinator supports procurement operations by managing purchase requisitions, issuing purchase orders, and tracking supplier deliveries. This role ensures timely acquisition of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) items and assists with raw material orders as needed. The successful candidate will resolve purchase discrepancies, maintain vendor communications, and support purchasing compliance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Review and process MRO purchase requisitions and place orders
Schedule releases and follow up on delivery dates from blanket orders
Evaluate MRO bid proposals and negotiate within budget scope
Resolve invoice and PO discrepancies with Accounts Payable
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely procurement
Assist with raw material purchasing when necessary
Use discretion and independent judgment in daily purchasing functions
Required Experience
Prior experience in procurement or purchasing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite applications
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with purchase order and invoice processes
Nice-to-Have Experience
SAP procurement system experience
Experience managing blanket purchase orders
Exposure to raw materials procurement processes
Required Skills
Ability to manage purchase cycles independently
Accuracy and attention to detail in resolving vendor or AP issues
Time management in a fast-paced environment
Effective cross-functional collaboration
Preferred Skills
Contract negotiation within procurement scope
MRO item purchasing knowledge
