Position Purpose
You will join LONG's Accounting team to take initiative and contribute to the Company's overall success. You will manage and mentor Payroll Specialists to promote accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in payroll operations, while maintaining oversight of all payroll systems and processes.
Pay Range
$80,000 to $110,000 per year (plus potential profit share)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage, mentor, and lead the payroll team with their day-to-day responsibilities in processing weekly & bi-weekly payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing.Administer UKG Payroll System and Time Entry System in coordination with HR.Maintain and review Payroll Tax Filings submitted by UKG.Lead the design, improvement, and implementation of processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and ensure alignment with company policies and regulatory standards.Provide training and development opportunities for Payroll Specialists to enhance their skills and knowledge.Ensure compliance with Certified Payroll reporting requirements, timely filings and accuracy of fringe and prevailing wages being paid.Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to resolve payroll-related issues and discrepancies.Communicate and provide outstanding customer service to all internal employees as the main point of contact for all employees and management inquiries regarding payroll matters.Stay informed about changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary updates to keep compliance, including Certified Payroll and Union Requirements.Cross Training, Projects and additional Payroll responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications
5+ years of experience in payroll processing, with 3+ years in a supervisory role or equivalent combination of education and experience.Strong understanding of payroll processes, regulations, and best practices.Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designationMust be detail oriented. Can see the outlier, mis keyed data and catch mistakes of yourself and others using a variety of tools and strategies.Respect for a high level of confidentiality and a willingness to accept responsibility and accountability within the team environment.Enjoy research, internal and external audits, payroll tax, system testing, and desire to make tasks streamlined.Ability to develop and delegate projects that are beneficial to the needs of the organization.Strong analytical thinking and ability to work independently with solutions in mind.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.Advanced Skill Set with Microsoft Excel including basic formulas, filtering, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP's.Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of experience in payroll processing, with 5+ years in a supervisory role.Experience with UKG (UltiPro) Payroll, or other payroll processing platforms.Advanced Skill Set within Microsoft Outlook including inbox management and calendar scheduling.Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (F&O) or other Accounting Software's and ERP'sNo candidate will meet every single desired qualification.
