Litigation Desk Adjuster
The litigation desk adjuster reports directly to the Litigation Supervisor and maintains the work flow and daily duties required on litigious files. Duties : As a Litigation Examiner, the individual will be required to :
Communicate with independent adjusters, desk adjusters, attorneys and other experts to gather information on claims
Negotiate settlements with the insured and / or their representatives
Discuss litigation strategy and exposure, and potential settlement of lawsuits with the Litigation supervisor
Review and process invoices
Manage workload and provide management with reports as needed
Regular and reliable attendance
Skill and Experience Requirements :
Experience in the legal field preferred
Experience in Florida insurance laws and claims
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
Must have communication skills and interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task; Some degrees of creativity and latitude is a plus
Must possess a Florida 5-20 Insurance License
A minimum of 2 years
