Litigation Associate – Catastrophic Injury & Wrongful Death
Location :
Coral Gables, FL (On-Site / Hybrid)
Overview :
Boutique litigation practice with a low-volume, high-value caseload seeks a litigation associate to assist with serious to catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters. Ideal candidates have exceptional legal research and writing skills , prior complex motion practice , and the ability to handle hearings as needed.
Responsibilities :
- Draft persuasive motions, memoranda, and appellate briefs in high-value injury and wrongful death cases.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and case analysis.
- Handle hearings when assigned.
- Assist in trial preparation, including expert witness coordination, deposition preparation, and evidence review.
- Manage a small docket of complex cases with a high level of independence.
Qualifications :
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Member in good standing with the Florida Bar.Minimum 3+ years of civil litigation experience — preferably catastrophic injury, wrongful death, or high-value torts.Demonstrated success in complex motion practice .Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience in trial preparation and strategy preferred.Stand-Out Qualities & Skills :
Catastrophic Injury & Wrongful Death litigation experience.Complex Motion & Appellate Practice background.Judicial clerkship or appellate court experience.Ability to synthesize and analyze medical records and expert testimony .Strong trial preparation and strategic planning skills.Compensation :
