Position Description
As a Marine Technician , you will be a vital member of our field operations team, ensuring the readiness and reliability of GARC vessels deployed in fleet operations. Your role will involve direct technical engagement, maintenance, and support, alongside contributions to training and integration events. This position requires travel and the ability to work in industrial, austere, and on-water environments.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a technical expert for mechanical systems on board GARC vessels , ensuring operational efficiency and reliability.
Perform service and maintenance on all mechanical systems, addressing issues promptly to maintain mission readiness.
Maintain a systematic approach to identifying symptoms, determining exact issues, and moving to correct these issues in a way that is able to be documented and repeated.
Provide input to service and maintenance documentation, contributing to accurate and effective materials for Navy and government use.
Support training, integration, and RDTE (Research, Development, Test & Evaluation) events, working directly with Navy personnel and other stakeholders.
Perform work in industrial and austere environments, including Naval facilities, event locations, and potentially on water during operations or training.
Work first-hand with Navy personnel to train and eventually transition GARC platform responsibilities to government teams.
