Description
Responsible for a safe and comfortable environment in accordance with established policies and procedures. This includes general conditions, operation of the physical plant and support equipment when the cogeneration plant is down, electrical distribution system, pneumatic air systems, medical gas systems, HVAC equipment, boiler and steam systems, plumbing, and other patient support equipment.
Responsible for preventive and repair maintenance on various types of electrical and mechanical equipment. Provides training and inservices for the department. Acts as a team member in the development and implementation of new programs for the department.
Must utilize appropriate work practices commensurate with the environment of work to include working with neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, mature adults, older adults and psychiatric care patients. Travel between various Palomar Health locations may be required.
Must speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment and personal computer and computer software skills are required.
