Elementary Special Education Teacher – Maternity Leave Assignment (2025–2026 School Year)

Our Organization is hiring a Special Education Resource Teacher to join an elementary school team for the Fall 2025 semester. This temporary, full-time position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference for a small group of students while working within a collaborative and supportive school community.

The selected teacher will deliver individualized and small-group instruction tailored to IEP goals, monitor student progress, and maintain accurate documentation. You will also foster a structured and inclusive classroom environment that encourages both academic achievement and personal growth. Collaboration will be a key component of this role, as you’ll partner with general education staff, related service providers, and families to ensure consistency and support across settings.

Ideal candidates are flexible, detail-oriented educators with strong communication skills, proven experience in IEP implementation, and a genuine passion for meeting the needs of diverse learners.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will bring strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, along with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field. A genuine commitment to supporting diverse learners and advancing educational equity is essential. Previous experience in an elementary special education setting is preferred. Applicants must hold a valid teaching license in Special Education, with an LBS1 endorsement or equivalent highly recommended.
