Job Summary

The Nurse Coordinator has the responsibility of all clinical areas which include daily assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the delivery of quality patient care

Qualifications

Education BSN required, MSN preferred

Experience Oncology background Ambulatory Care background preferred not required 3 years experience in a supervisory role,

Management Leadership skills to mentor staff and facilitate daily operations of the department,

Licenses Certifications Valid New Jersey RN license BLS certification ONS OCN certification

Scheduling Requirements

Full Time

Day Shift

40 hours per week

Essential Functions

Role model and clinical resource to staff, providing guidance and professional development,

Facilitates interdepartmental coordination,

identifying opportunities for growth and change to ensure that the quality of patient care and services are maintained ,

Provide training and orientation for all new employees,

Develop and implement policies and procedures,

Participate in departmental quality initiatives and projects,

Actively participates in shared governance and nursing performance initiatives,

Function as a liaison for the Cancer Center and physician groups,
