Accounting Clerk
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Oxford, Connecticut. This position involves handling a variety of accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excel in customer service, and demonstrate a solid understanding of financial processes.
Responsibilities :
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate invoice processing and timely payments.
Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
Communicate effectively with vendors and resolve any discrepancies related to billing or payments.
Utilize Microsoft Excel to create, analyze, and manage financial data.
Process purchase orders and ensure compliance with company policies.
Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive financial information.
Handle customer inquiries related to billing and payments, providing excellent service and support.
Learn and adapt quickly to new accounting systems and tools to streamline processes.
Assist with debits and credits, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
Requirements :
Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for managing and analyzing financial data.
Familiarity with invoice processing and purchase order management.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information.
Understanding of debits and credits and their application in accounting.
Experience with Ariba or similar accounting systems is a plus.
