Position Overview
Project Solutions Inc. is seeking an Architect with strong design, technical, and project leadership capabilities to join our team in Rapid City. The ideal candidate will work across multiple phases of architectural projects, from concept through construction, and will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while ensuring quality, code compliance, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead the full project lifecycle for a variety of clients including conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
- Evaluate current and ongoing projects from an architectural perspective to ensure design integrity, code compliance, and alignment with project goals.
- Perform code research, analyze building and zoning codes, and ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to manage expectations, present design proposals, and incorporate feedback.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and quality control to ensure projects stay on track.
- Conduct site visits and field reviews; respond to RFIs, changes, and field issues.
- Assist in business development tasks, such as preparing proposals, participating in interviews, and maintaining client relationships.
- Stay current with trends in architecture, materials, software, sustainability practices, and emerging technologies.
Required Education, Knowledge and Skills
Education / Certification :
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture or related fieldRegistered / licensed Architect preferred.Experience :
Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design and project delivery, particularly in the government sector.Key Attributes & Skills :
Proficiency with design software : Revit, AutoCAD, or similar; skills with rendering or visualization tools (e.g. SketchUp, Enscape).Strong technical knowledge of building construction, materials, assemblies, and detailing.Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation, and interpersonal skills.Good sense for coordinating consultant work (structural, MEP, civil, etc.).Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and high standards of quality.What Does PSI Offer You?
