Job Summary : Property Tax Oversight Compliance Determination
This position plays a key role in supporting the Compliance Determination process within the Property Tax Oversight Program. The successful candidate will contribute to the Department of Revenue's (DOR) efforts in ensuring uniformity and accuracy in property tax assessments across the state.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Assist with in-depth studies conducted by the Department of Revenue.
- Perform procedural reviews across various property strata to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Support and participate in sales qualification studies.
- Review and evaluate the work of peers and county offices to ensure alignment with Program standards and expectations.
- Provide guidance and support to County Property Appraisers to help ensure accurate and compliant assessments.
- Perform related work and assist with other studies as needed.
Minimum Requirements :
A minimum of two years of experience in appraising real property or working in the real estate industry.Substitutions :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Real Estate.Preferences :
Licensed Real Estate Broker or Sales Associate.Professional designations from the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO), such as, Assessment Administration Specialist (AAS), Certified Assessment Evaluator (CAE) or Residential Evaluation Specialist (RES).Certified Florida Evaluator (CFE) designation from the Florida Department of Revenue.Completion of professional development courses, such as, IAAO or Appraisal Institute courses or 15-Hour Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) course.Experience with IBM SPSS statistical software.Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro.Public speaking or presentation experience.Special Notes :
This position is located in Tallahassee and is eligible for part time telework.Travel as required to fulfill duties and support local offices.A valid driver's license is required for this position.Salary : $46,148.76.
