Security Officer - Access Control Driver

As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Lakewood, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As an Access Control Officer in a logistics and distribution environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service. You may be required to operate a vehicle as part of your responsibilities, so a valid driver's license is necessary. Pay Rate : $20.40 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeFri03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Sat03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Assist with access control duties by verifying credentials and authorizations for individuals entering or exiting the logistics and distribution facility.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and / or restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and adhering to site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe for unusual conditions and help to deter potential security-related concerns.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities as required by site protocols and Allied Universal standards.
  • Work collaboratively with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal team members to support security-related operations at the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
