As the Associate Director, Global Medical Affairs (MA), Connected Care group (CCG), you will provide overall leadership for the CCG Medical Affairs team. You will provide the highest level of expertise regarding patient care in the hospital setting, including deep medical and clinical practice expertise as well as an understanding of how patient data is collected and managed within Electronic Medical Records and other connected medical devices.
You will ensure that business unit products and solutions have high quality medical and clinical support through the leadership of a team of Medical Affairs associates. As the Associate Director MA you will be accountable for the department budget, development of global evidence generation and strategies, coordination of global key thought leaders, and oversight of critical medical affairs sustaining activities to meet regulatory and safety requirements (i.e. Clinical Evaluation Reports, Post market clinical follow up plans). You will ensure the patient and healthcare provider prospective is represented when working with the business and regions on product strategies, development, and innovation.
You will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Medical Affairs vision, strategy and action plan in full alignment with the business unit strategies and functional strategy. You will be accountable for the collaboration with the Clinical Research, Strategy and Delivery, and Global Patient Safety teams within Worldwide Medical to ensure excellence in clinical trial work and patient safety for the Care Solutions products and solutions. You will ensure close collaboration with key cross-functional partners, such as R&D, Regulatory, Marketing, Quality, Legal, and Ethics & Compliance.
As the Associate Director MA, you will support interactions with regulatory agencies for new product development and as needed for post-market safety and compliance issues for Connected Care Group. You may also interact with external professional societies and non-governmental agencies on behalf of the business. You will be accountable to ensure that global policies and standards are implemented or if needed, created, and maintained for all aspects of Global Medical Affairs and will work collaboratively with Worldwide Medical Strategy and Delivery team and Regional MA leaders to ensure the same for regional MA. You will assure the highest standard of practice, ethics, scholarship and knowledge to drive the goals of the company.

Your Location :
You will work on-site from our office located in Raleigh, NC, one of the national hubs for HealthCare Technology. Baxter is committed to supporting the needs for flexibility in the workplace. We do so through our flexible workplace policy which includes a required minimum number of days a week onsite. This policy provides the benefits of connecting and collaborating in-person in support of our Mission. The flexible workplace policy is subject to local laws and legal requirements. At its discretion, Baxter may decide to adjust, suspend, or discontinue as business needs change.
Alternatively remote work will also be considered.
What You'll Bring :
The estimated base salary for this position is $184,000 - $253,000 annually. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and / or long-term incentive.
