As a Project Development Engineer, you'll lead the early development of major high-profile capital-intensive energy infrastructure upgrades. You'll translate client needs into technically sound, customized solutions, while envisioning cutting-edge projects that advance energy efficiency, asset renewal, and cost reduction.
What You Will Do...
- Proactively initiate and lead kickoff meetings to understand client needs
- Establish a strong relationship throughout the project with key stakeholders
- Undertake a range of project-specific analyses and assessments, tailoring your approach to meet each client's unique operational, financial, and environmental objectives and ensure project success
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists and experts in client acquisition, design, construction and optimization to deliver meaningful energy solutions with tangible results
- Conduct site assessments : perform site walkthroughs, gather and analyze energy-use data, and review existing drawings to assess building energy systems, including HVAC, electrical, generation, and controls
- Partner with construction managers to evaluate project constructability and ensure practical, effective implementation
- Work within the client acquisition team to support sales strategies, client presentations, sales processes, and contract signatures, working closely with both internal technical colleagues and external stakeholders, always positioning Ecosystem as the optimal partner for projects.
Your Profile...
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Systems, Energy Engineering, or other related discipline5+ years of relevant experience in energy efficiency systems, energy services, project developmentProven ability to develop technical concepts and project proposals for energy retrofits or infrastructure upgradesExperience in preparing preliminary financial analyses and construction budgets, with a strong ability to evaluate constructability, feasibility, and project risks during early development phasesStrong consultative skills, with experience conducting site visits, leading technical discussions, and aligning solutions with complex client prioritiesDemonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling presentations for non-technical stakeholdersPossess the ability to take initiative to identify, innovate, and challenge creative technical or commercial solutionsWhat Ecosystem Offers...
Annual base salary (approx. $100,000 - $145,000). This is an approximate range and dependent on location and years of relevant experience.
