Job Description

As a Security Officer - Education Patrol in Greensboro, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, faculty, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will be a visible representative of Allied Universal's commitment to reliability, innovation, and caring culture, working in a team that values integrity and puts people first. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations throughout the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and report any unusual circumstances.
  • Monitor the campus environment for potential security-related concerns and report findings according to site protocols.
  • Assist students, staff, and visitors with directions and information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and the location.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency personnel as directed during incidents or drills.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
