Salary : $59,273 to $74,092 is the annual salary range for new hires in this position. Offers are made within this range based on competencies, experience, and internal equity.
Program Supervisor (full-time, exempt)
The regular schedule for this full-time position will include Wednesday evenings and weekends. Additional evenings may also be required.
Skokie Public Library seeks an enthusiastic and experienced Program Supervisor to supervise a team supporting and facilitating a variety of library events for diverse youth, teens, and adults. This supervisor also coordinates administrative logistics for upcoming events. The Program Supervisor works with, and under the supervision of, the Learning Experiences Manager to support effective use of program spaces and resources.

Selected Responsibilities
- Coordinate logistics for public programs, including communicating with presenters, processing contracts, and preparing program materials
- Liaise with program team leads to understand and implement program priorities
- Hire, train, coach, and review performance of staff
- Collaborate with the Learning Experiences Manager to provide leadership to the program support work group and to tie staff work to the organizations mission and strategic priorities
- Manage the day-to-day responsibilities of programming spaces and equipment
- Oversee and evaluate service models and operations for programming logistics and spaces and proactively seek out, recommend, and implement innovations in these areas in relation to total library services, the goals of other departments, and the needs of the community
- Apply and integrate principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in learning experiences workflows and best practices as well as public-facing events and program spaces
- Provide direction, training, and mentorship for library employees in regard to utilizing program spaces and equipment

Bachelors degree2 or more years of recent direct supervisory experiencePreferred Competencies
