Brevard County Board of County Commissioners is offering a full-time position in Melbourne, FL, with a salary that is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. The job falls under the Brevard County Parks and Recreation Department and will close on December 7, 2025, at 11 : 59 PM Eastern Time (US & Canada).

The position requires entry-level service maintenance work in Parks and Recreation, assisting with maintaining and making repairs to parks, athletic fields, grounds, buildings, and equipment. The work schedule is variable and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements : Three (3) months of combined experience in grounds and building maintenance. Experience in mechanical or equipment repair is preferred. Special requirements include possessing, or obtaining prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintaining said license during the term of employment. The applicant will be disqualified from further consideration if a Level I background criminal background investigation discloses disqualifying convictions. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
