Litigation Paralegal

An established law firm is hiring a litigation paralegal in Fort Lauderdale, 33316. This is a permanent "Direct Hire" placement. Pay is up to $85,000.00 with regular pay increases. The position offers full time hours + benefits + a flexible schedule.

About the law firm : The law firm has been open and operating for over a decade focused (primarily) on insurance defense work and has been rapidly expanding their practice over the past few years. Additional practice areas include commercial litigation, construction law, complex business litigation, and admiralty & maritime law. The firm has approximately 10-15 attorneys as well as an awesome team of legal assistants, paralegals, and clerks. Pick your own work schedule / hours!

About the position : Assist in preparing legal documents including motions, contracts, pleadings, and agreements. Assist with the discovery process, including the analysis of plans, contracts, pay applications, medical records, obtaining IMEs, scheduling depositions, assisting with drafting written discovery requests and responses, and preparing / filing pleadings, privilege logs, and memoranda. Assist with trial prep and trial.

Minimum Requirements :

Must have 2+ years litigation experience
