- Lead and support quality initiatives including APQP, Six Sigma, 5S, and ISO 9001, integrating Lean principles to optimize workflows and reduce variability.
- Collaborate with interdepartmental teams to develop and implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) procedures and conduct Process Capability Analysis (e.g., Cp / Cpk metrics) for proactive process monitoring.
- Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles to ensure precise product conformance and dimensional accuracy.
- Utilize tools such as Minitab, Digital QMS platforms, or other quality software to perform advanced data analysis, predictive modeling, and insightful reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements, including audits and documentation.
- Partner with other departments to conduct root cause analysis (e.g., 8D methodology), implement corrective and preventive actions, and drive continuous improvement projects.
- Develop and execute inspection and validation processes using CMM and other metrology equipment, incorporating emerging digital tools for efficiency.
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and status updates effectively with customers, suppliers, and team members to foster transparency and alignment.
- Develop and deliver internal training procedures and programs in compliance with ISO standards and company policies, promoting a culture of quality excellence.
- 7–10 years of hands-on experience in quality engineering or a related field, with a track record of leading quality projects.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T (ASME Y14.5), SPC, and quality system standards such as ISO 9001.
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, or medical device industries strongly preferred, with familiarity in relevant regulations (e.g., IATF 16949, AS9100, ISO 13485).
- Strong statistical and problem-solving skills, including experience using Minitab or equivalent software for data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Plastics experience preferred but not required; we support diverse manufacturing backgrounds.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or CQE a plus
