Overview

Team Leader - Material Handling, 2nd Shift (2 : 30pm-11pm)

Warner Electric is looking for our next Team Leader to lead our Material Handler group for the 2nd shift. Team Leaders have a direct impact on safety, culture, workplace organization, internal and external quality, on-time delivery, productivity and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Lead all activities relating to production performance. Coordinate activities of material associates and guide team members in their development
• Continually improve safety record with proactive attention to physical safety issues and employee safety behavior; maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas
• Collaborate, develop, implement, and maintain improvement initiatives and Lean manufacturing processes; lead communication between team members, shifts and production cells
• Operate industrial trucks (sit and stand), hoists, tuggers and pallet jacks to assist in loading or moving materials and products
• Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves; lift heavy objects; clean work area; prepare skids for shipment; stock production cells and keep supplies orderly on the production floor
