Position Overview

We are seeking a Staff Accountant with 2-3 years of experience in general accounting to work as a full-cycle accountant, including accounts payable (AP) duties. The Staff Accountant will be based in San Francisco and work closely with the SVP, Finance to also assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax filings. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles, strong AP experience, and a proactive approach to financial operations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Full-Cycle Accounting : Manage all aspects of accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Financial Reporting : Assist the Finance Director in preparing and analyzing financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Bank Reconciliations : Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and credit cards.
• Inventory Accounting : Collaborate with operations and sales teams to track merchandise
• inventory and ensure accurate cost reporting.
• Revenue Recognition : Ensure proper recording of merchandise sales transactions, refunds, and adjustments.
• Tax Preparation : Support the Finance Director in preparing tax filings and gathering necessary documentation for tax compliance.
• Compliance Audit : Assist with compliance reporting, external audits, and regulatory filings as needed.
• Process Improvement : Identify and implement efficiencies in financial and AP processes.
