The Automation Engineer will provide a leading role in the planning, building, troubleshooting, and maintaining all automated special machines within the facility. They will work with various departments and individuals to meet production needs. The engineer will guide and mentor lower-level technicians and must have the desire to learn and embrace new technologies.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of five years' experience designing, building, and programming automated special machines. They must have the experience and knowledge to design a complete machine controls system from scratch. This includes creating electrical drawings, designing safety circuits, creating PLC programs, robot programs, setting up vision cameras, and servo drive motors.
Software requirements include : Demonstrated PLC experience with Siemens TIA Portal (preferred) or Allen Bradley RSLogix 500, Cognex Insight, and Autocad Electrical.
