At least 2 years of experience in calibration or metrology, ideally in a manufacturing or machine shop setting. Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar standards. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. Comfortable reading and interpreting technical drawings. Proficient with calibration software and Microsoft Office. Hands-on ability to calibrate metrology hand tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.). Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Comfortable standing, walking, and bending for long periods. Good manual dexterity for working with small tools and instruments.
About the Role
We're looking for a Calibration Technician to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you'll take care of the calibration, upkeep, and repair of precision tools and equipment used in our machine shop. Your work makes sure everything is accurate, reliable, and up to standard so we can keep delivering quality products.
Responsibilities
- Calibrate a variety of measuring tools and equipment (micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches, dial indicators, CMMs, etc.).
- Use calibration software to keep accurate records and stay compliant with ISO 9001 and other standards.
- Spot and troubleshoot issues with equipment; coordinate repairs or replacements when needed.
- Make sure all calibration standards are traceable back to NIST or other recognized sources.
- Help improve calibration procedures and schedules.
- Provide documentation and support during audits and inspections.
- Work with production and quality teams to make sure equipment is running correctly.
- Keep the calibration area clean, safe, and organized.
