Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer with experience in oscillator components to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in electronic component / Sub System design, with a strong focus on design for manufacturing (DFM) and transitioning products from development to full-scale production.

This role requires a deep understanding of oscillator system design principles, tight-tolerance component design, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, performance, and reliability.

This position is on-site in Burlington, WI, with the option of up to 50% Work-from-home.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the detailed design of oscillator components including electrical performance, mounting, interconnects, and thermal management of component and high-level assemblies, to ensure robust production capability and yields
• Develop and release detailed 2D / 3D CAD models and drawings (e.g., Autodesk Fusion-360, Altium, AutoCAD, etc.)
• Apply DFM and DFA principles to optimize designs for cost-effective and scalable production
• Work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to transition designs to production
• Conduct tolerance stack-ups, FEA simulations (as needed), and material selection to meet performance and reliability goals
• Collaborate with electrical and systems engineering teams to ensure mechanical-electrical integration of oscillator components
• Support prototype builds, first article inspections, and design verification / validation activities
• Interface with vendors to evaluate manufacturing capabilities and drive continuous improvement
• Create and maintain documentation including design reports, BOMs, assembly instructions, and change orders
