Description

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to manage, optimize, and maintain client infrastructure and application platforms. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a key role in ensuring system performance, security, and reliability while guiding less experienced team members and adhering to industry best practices. This opportunity is based in Minden, Nevada and is an ONSITE role.

Responsibilities :

Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, networks, and virtualized environments to ensure optimal functionality.

Monitor system health and performance, applying necessary patches and upgrades.

Develop and implement automation scripts using tools such as PowerShell to streamline routine processes.

Administer and document backup solutions, disaster recovery plans, and failover configurations.

Provide advanced desktop support and resolve escalated helpdesk issues.

Manage server networking, DNS settings, and IP configurations to maintain connectivity.

Evaluate client environments to ensure compliance with industry best practices and resolve technical challenges.

Guide less experienced system administrators, offering support and technical expertise.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver managed IT services and support ongoing projects.

Requirements

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in systems administration.

Proficiency in server deployment, virtualization technologies (e.g., ESXi, Proxmox, Citrix), and networking.

Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network layers.

Experience with remote management tools such as TeamViewer or Kaseya.

Knowledge of server backup solutions (e.g., Veeam), storage management, and disaster recovery planning.

Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
