Cost Analyst
The Cost Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the financial and operational performance of transmission, distribution, and substation projects within the Power Delivery sector. This position is responsible for tracking, analyzing, and forecasting project costs to ensure accurate reporting and alignment with budgets and contractual requirements. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and reporting skills with a solid understanding of construction and utility project operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Monitor and analyze project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts across multiple projects.
- Develop and maintain cost control systems and project cost reports in coordination with project management, accounting, and field teams.
- Track labor, materials, subcontractor costs, equipment usage, and change orders to ensure accurate cost allocation.
- Assist with preparation of project cash flow projections and variance analyses.
- Support monthly project reporting, including earned value, performance metrics, and financial summaries.
- Work with project managers and engineers to identify potential cost overruns, trends, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure cost data integrity by reconciling financial records with project schedules and forecasts.
- Contribute to estimating, procurement, and budgeting processes for upcoming projects.
- Assist with audits, contract reviews, and closeout documentation as needed.
- Maintain strong communication across project, finance, and construction teams to ensure transparency and alignment on cost performance.

QualificationsEducation & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.5+ years of experience in cost control, project accounting, or financial analysis - preferably within power delivery, EPC, or utility construction projects.Technical Skills :
Proficiency in cost management and project control tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, Procore, SAP, or similar).Strong Excel and data analysis skills; experience with Power BI or other dashboard tools a plus.Understanding of construction cost structures, change management, and earned value concepts.Familiarity with contracts, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project lifecycle financials.Soft Skills :
