Manufacturing Engineer
A company in Racine, WI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support its Production and Tool & Die departments. The role involves developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, designing tools and fixtures, and creating detailed technical drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer
- Design and detail technical drawings and specifications for tools, simple dies, fixtures, gauges, machine attachments, and other production-related equipment.
- Reverse engineer original product concepts using sketches and verbal instructions, translating them into functional tooling and machine specifications.
- Create and detail complex tool and die designs for stamping and forming applications.
- Prepare comprehensive material lists for tooling and machine builds; recommend appropriate vendors and suppliers.
- Develop and troubleshoot manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Assist Engineering and Sales Coordination with organizing and maintaining customer files, part prints, tool drawings, inspection reports, routings, and specifications.
- Interpret customer drawings to define material needs and manufacturing processes, supporting accurate cost estimates and improved profitability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, sales, and quality to ensure engineering solutions meet all requirements.
Requirements of the Manufacturing Engineer
Associate's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience (3–5 years) in a Manufacturing Engineer role.5+ years of experience in Tool and Die Design, specifically in stamping, forming, and CAM applications.Proficient in CAD software with strong design and drafting skills.Strong organizational and time management abilities.1st shift, DIRECT HIRE
Pay is $80,000 - $90,000 annually, based on experience.
