PS / PK Childcare Lead Teacher

Summary

Bumble Bees Academy is currently looking to add a preschool teacher to our team. We are seeking someone experienced or educated in managing a classroom, using a curriculum, and communicating with families. The ideal candidate has worked in early learning childcare for more than a year and holds a CDA or CPL level 3 or above.

Bumble Bees Academy is a renowned childcare and learning center in Springboro. Our mission is to support the Springboro Community in meaningful ways. We have small class sizes and low student-to-teacher ratios, with a positive atmosphere where teachers and admins strive to make a positive impact on children\'s development and education. We are looking for like-minded individuals to join our growing team and help Bumble Bees remain a fun and fulfilling place to work.

About the classrooms and work environment : All classrooms use Conscious Discipline as our educational philosophy. If you are not familiar, we are happy to teach you. In short, Conscious Discipline emphasizes safety and love as a prerequisite for learning. We build safe, structured environments, strong individual connections with students, and encourage social connections among peers. For curriculum, we implement the Creative Curriculum. To stay connected with families and track each child\'s daily progress, we use the Procare app.

Our classroom sizes are relatively small. We are not a corporation, so we operate with more freedom and a family-like feel. We maintain high safety and sanitary policies and procedures, in alignment with Ohio Department of Children and Youth rules and Step Up to Quality requirements.

Duties

• Working with children, specifically preschool and preK
• Using a curriculum or general lesson planning in a previous setting
• Managing a classroom
• Catering to the needs of children with behavioral or developmental differences
• Implementing Conscious Discipline, or willingness to learn how to use it

Requirements

Applicants should be at least 18 years of age with a high school education or GED. The ideal candidate possesses the following skills / values :
